Woodton has two areas with play facilities: Raven’s Den, and Woodton New Playing Field (please scroll down for info).
The playground behind the Village Hall has an enclosed area for small children, which offers:
- Climbing equipment
- Picnic area (with tables)
- Small football pitch
- Landscaped cycle track
- Play equipment for older children, including a basketball hoop
A team of volunteers maintain the playground. Anyone wanting to alert them to something requiring attention should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01508 494635 / 01508 483700.
Woodton New Playing Field
A large area behind the school site has been acquired by a Trust to belong to the village in perpetuity. If you would like to volunteer for the Playing Field Committee, please contact Jane Bond: 01508 518 007.
Woodton United Football Club
The Woodton Playing Field are pleased to report that there is now a mixed age team, the team practice every Wednesday at 18.30 on the field, if you would like to come and join in more details are available from either Stephen on 01508 483798 or Zak on 07725 905480. Everyone welcome! Any new adult players are welcome to join us for training. Simply turn up on a Wednesday. The Football Club are also playing in the Norwich and District Football League are are looking for players over the age of 16.
