WPC - Lets Walk Publication 2016Let’s Walk – 12 Circular Walks in South Norfolk

The Hempnall Group of Parishes have put together a splendid little publication titled “Let’s Walk”.  This little book of walks is the outcome of many miles covered by a number of members.  The first walk produced describes a circuit of the whole group of eight churches.  This demanding walk encompasses 17 miles in its entirety.  From that follows eight circular walks which can easily fit into a leisurely afternoon’s stroll and can also incorporate a visit to the named church.  For those inclined to a slightly longer walk there are church walks taking about half a day or a bit more if you want to explore the churches and have a relaxed picnic.  This publication is available for purchase in all 8 churches of the Hempnall group, Hempnall butchers, Goodies Farm Shop (Long Stratton), Every Days a Picnic (Hedenham) and Woodton Stores at a small charge of £2.

“Will you walk a little faster?” said a whiting to a snail, “there’s a porpoise close behind us, and he’s treading on my tail…” (Lewis Carroll)

Queen’s 90th Birthday CelebrationsQueens Birthday Celebrations a
Sunday 12th June saw celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday take place in a full Woodton Village Hall.  With the help of a grant from South Norfolk Council, an entertainer was on hand to amuse and delight the children, food was provided by Everyday’s a Picnic, and the local band, Pubsteps, made sure everyone had a wonderful afternoon.
Queens Birthday Celebrations bThere were prizes for the winners of the competition to paint or drawer a picture of the Queen, but everyone who took part received something.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the Tea Party such a success and to Matt Keal for his fabulous photos of an afternoon to be remembered.  More photos of the celebrations can be found on the “Village Hall” page of this website.
